Again

My baby girl Callie passed away yesterday. She had been sick for a few months now and we think she may have had cancer. She became very brittle, according to my mom whom she lived with. I hadn't seen her since Christmas time and it makes me very sad that I didn't get to see her or say goodbye. It's striking how our pets become part of the family. How losing one of them is like losing a human being. A little before Christmas our oldest cat Bailey also passed. It happened while I was on the phone with my step-dad. Needless to say it was quiet a sullen and tearful conversation. Or lack of one, I might say.




It's such a sad situation, but I'm just thankful that the rest of my animals are still healthy and beautiful.
